Photograph help needed

edited April 2009 in Not Sports Related
I have managed to get a very old photograph of my Mum most were destroyed in a house fire, and I need to enlarge the photo a fit a frame of a suitable size. If anybody in the world of CharltonLife has the computor nous and the technology to do it, I have managed to scan it to my laptop but cannot enlarge the photo size. I have no wish to part with it ie: take it to a photographers, but if I could email it to you if you could enlarge the photo and return it via email (if thats possible), I would be willing to reinburse you for time.
many thanks
Ray

TCE, yes medders is yer man.
  • lol stone
  • You need someone with a high resolution scanner - the higher res you can scan at, the less it will distort when you enlarge ot.
  • Hi, Ray.
Anyone with adobe photoshop can do this. you prefferably need to scan in at 300dpi.

You can do higher if you like. You can load the scan onto a cd or media card.

All the person has to do is resize the image. Anybody that has photoshop should be able to 'retouch' any imperfections on the print that you have.

From that you can print to a nice full plate 10 inches by 8 inches. (which Boots photographic will do for you at there bigger branches) which as a Bloomfield boy was the same size as the school photos.

If you get stuck, let me know and I will see if I can assist you more. I guess we 'old bloomfielders had better stick together, at least it keeps us off the streets!'
  • Thanks for advice Gents,

  • You are welcome to send it to me at shortsharpshot at gmail . com and I'll have a look for you. upscaling it or making it bigger will make the quality worse though. Send it through and I'll see what I can do.

    Come on Ledge!
  • hardly singing your praises is it.

    Now

Medders is brilliant at photography and such a whizz with a PC I wouldn't recommend anyone but him because he's great.

Now that's singing your praises and downright lying all in one sentence LOL
