The letter is from Keith Peacock (an all-time hero with North Eastern roots), he says it is absolutely vital that those of us who care about Charlton stick together in these difficult times, both on the pitch and in the wider economy. (does that mean both the playing staff, and the other club staff?).he goes on to say that season-ticket income will be vital to the challenge we must mount next season.
Good bit of delegation that, getting Keith Peacock to write the letter, last weeks programme had a similar request from our CEO (another man with North eastern roots). I reckon that Keiths picture on the letter has a more cheery smile than the CEO's, although Keith will always , for me, be associated with natty facial hair, which although our CEO tries to match, in my view doesn't pull it off as well as Keith.
As for renewal.....there is a long way to go, and a lot of information to gather before we will commit for next season, not least who our manager will be, and how the club will be spending our money.

Had to give up my season ticket a few seasons back due to work commitments.Try to go when i can but if i'm honest,the tripe they have been serving up for the last few years has kept me away .When they start playing with a bit of heart, kick out the loanees and show some consistency as a team then i'll come back,regardless of what league we are in.0

If still in charge, Parkinson is keen to keep the majority of his team together, although he admitted there could be plenty of departures from SE7 over the summer.
And he again urged the fans to renew their season tickets to give the Addicks the best possible opportunity for next term, adding: "If I am the manager, I know who I would like to keep, although a lot of that will be determined by season-ticket sales.0 -

Saw my dad after the game. He's 85 this year, can't get round much so has to use one of those electric wheelchairs. And he's not in the best of health anyway.
He used to have a season ticket up to about 5 years ago but it got too much and too tiring so he gave it up. He's not well off and lives on his pension.
Last night he said he's going to buy a season ticket for next year.
He said he'll try and make 1 or 2 games but I doubt he will but he said he knows the club needs the money and needs the fans to stand by them.
So that's 1 more to add to my two.0 -

Yep, just have online and look forward to supporting CAFC once again next year. Hope as many of us as possible can and hope that the more season tickets sold gives us a genuine opportunity of keeping the nucleus of the squad together, which I am confident will be very good for a League One promotion assault.0

lets get this straight,if we get taken over we will hold on to who we want to.If we dont' any offers we get will be accepted and all the big earners we want rid off we be gone anyway,do not think for one minute us renewing will alter it.I am going to renew so I am doing it with open eyes,but all this if we renew we can keep hold of him is utter ballcocks,holding on to players depends on one thing and one thing only.0

There seemed to be a lot standing up during the "Stand up if you're here next year" chant yesterday. I assume a lot were lying!

However, if we assume there is no takeover and by the end of the season no one had renewed. I believe there is less chance of Parky being kept on as opposed to us having sold 5,000 by end of season.0 -
Yeah I'll be renewing, thinking about moving seat though. Early in the season on a bright sunny day it's a bloody nightmare!
So what I want is for Phil to come up and shield my eyes with an umbrella for the time the sun is in the way then I will make my decision

Parky will stay either way. More of the players will stay if you renew early IMHO0 -
the thing that has annoyed me about this is that they have only knocked off like £25 plus im 18 now and going uni so i wont be able to renew. i know their running a business but i don't see why they didn't knock off £100, at least their would then be a chance that we may be able to get a packed stadium. i know they have to run a business profitably however, if your getting higher attendances sponsorship will be easier, also it is likely that business will not be able to give a lower price for advertising at the valley. plus they could always just increase the prices on the food........... in the jimmy seed stand.0

Nope. Going to pick and choose which games I go to and won't have a problem getting a ticket. Looking forward to the Brentford and Orient games.0
