Disco is going to be absolutely huge again this summer and the rest of 2009/2010

Well if SXSW and WMC are anything to go by, and they usually have all the new tunes/bands for the upcoming year

look out for the amazing handclap band (I kid you not, very wierd name but gonna be huge!)

I'm listening to a compilation cd on the jazzman label.

    The world's rarest funk 45's volume 2,sixteen heavy-weight deep-funk ultra-rarities.

Simply, the forgotten sounds of america's finest and rarest funk 45's.

    Sam! Fancy seeing you here!
Anyone else remember Fatback Band and getting on down to "I found lovin' " while climbing on your mates shoulders at Radio London Soul Night's Out?
Mid 80's I reckon - Tony Blackburn would whip out his 12 inchers.

For anyone that likes the northern stuff, my mates husband runs a label called jalapeno records. They have a newish act called smoove and tyrell which is well worth a listen I reckon. I like their uptempo stuff a lot more than the slower tunes but would reomend if you like northern stuff.

It might be worth some of you tuning to-
    Sky channel 0129
    www.solarradio.com

This is the same Solar Radio that was a popular pirate station in the 1980s, now legal for the past ten years.

My own modest efforts in promoting 1960s soul, 50s R&B and blues, and some great soul ballads can be heard on Sunday night, 10pm til midnight!!!!
