First round proper. Can't wait to get drawn away against some team I've never heard of before - and get turned over!

hopefully get an easy draw and we can get to the 3rd round and then draw a big team like doncaster and cause a 'giantkilling' shock .....................this is depressing ;-(

We've never lost to a non-league side in the Cup since we joined the league.

It won't happen next season either.

In the early 70's we were drawn away to tonbridge. Played them in what looked like a park. are they still in existance?

Tonbridge Angels play near the top of the Ryman league but no sure if that was the same side.

    Got a decent non-league ground.

We'll get some part time village team, probably from south west. Builder at centre back, PE teacher on the wing and postman up front. Builder at centre back will score the winner from a corner.

I remember John Dunn repeatedly throwing the ball back to the kid who had returned it to him from behind the goal to eat up some of the time. We were just hanging on at the time(!)
  • At least we can look forward to being giant- killers again as opposed to the more rencent "honour" of being the slain giants.
