BB King

anyone see a short interview with BB KIng on TV last night ? He is 83 and still touring, he will be in London in June.

U2 wrote a song for him and when on their last World tour he guested for them they wanted him to play it, was great to see him say to Bono " cant play no cords man never have".

A true great and surely his last gig here.

  • Is he a jazz singer?
  • no he is a Blues guitarist ---------------- one of the best ever if not the best.

Students what do you know !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Good shout Gooner,

BB King is a ledge, have to admit I can only listen to Blue's music in small doses as it can be a bit deppressing (As it is meant to be based on its origins) but when I do BB King is in there somewhere.
  • Massive influence in the music business since (even before) the birth of rock and roll
  • more of a muddy waters man myself but the old blues guys are legends, bono is a douche bag fact. john lee hooker another blues legend, its like country music but better all about heart ache and bad luck but with soul unlike country and western.

Well, rockabilly is a merge of country and rock, all the same playing field historically, and my country hero's are Johnny Horton and of course Mr Cash.
