......on e Bay! And it starts with Nicky Bailey' size 7 boots. I might have missed something here but I can find no mention of a charity to which the proceeds will be donated. Is this a desperate attempt to raise funds for the club? Things are worse then I thought!

been selling stuff on there for ages and no the money doesn't go to Charity.

Don't see why it should. When you buy something in the club shop the money doesn't go to Charity. We're a business and we do loads for Demelza anyway.

Every little bit helps and it means fans can get stuff like this if they want it.

Now the Signed Danny Butterfield PALACE shirt that we're selling. What's all that about. Don't we have any cars to clean with it.

fans can also bid for the goalkeeper gloves worn by Rob Elliot in the 4-2 win over Norwich City on the final day of the season.

i thought i saw rob throw at least one of this gloves to someone in the crowd that day.

I thought it was embarassing when we gave them out... but that would be worth bidding on! Owning the medal presented to matt spring for scoring against palace would be an interesting bit of memorabilia.

There have been 4 bids for Danny Butterfield's signed Crystal Palace shirt! Is someone on here planning a ceremonial burning at the Lifer's summer drink?

So is it the club itself selling stuff on e-bay?

If so, I find that very tacky -especially when it's items of players' personal kit.

I agree with Dazzler that the proceeds should go to Demelza. When such items are legitimately sold/auctioned that is certainly the usual convention, isn't it? Or is it going to a welfare fund for the staff about to land on the dole? It would certainly be appropriate for the players to donate items for such a cause.

If it is a piece of official club business, it should at least guarantee the authenticity of the items, unlike so much else of the fake crap on there. But the comment about Elliot throwing at least one of his gloves on the last day into the crowd would appear to bring even that into question..

I thought I saw him give both gloves away. One to youngsters on either side of the goal at The Covered End. It something we have seen him do several times last season. One explaination would that he played and used two pair of gloves?

so to stay inside the law they had better change the wording to say : "fans can also bid for the goalkeeper gloves worn by Rob Elliot FOR PART OF the 4-2 win over Norwich City on the final day of the season.''

    lol !

PS: as he's only ever played in about three or four winning Charlton sides, what's he doing giving away his lucky gloves, anyway ???? :o)
