Morning chaps.

Any news on the new shirts? I see all these two bob outfits signing deals with Nike / Adidas / Puma, are we going to be stuck with Joma for another season? And even worse Cabrini sportswear as the sponsor? I have hated our shirts since the 98/99 kit. Im going on holiday soon and its the only time in my life I will wear the damn thing!

You go on Palace website and all this big shebang about Nike and Palace the new partnership, new online store coming Friday. Go on ours, same old shirt which they can't sell off even for a fiver and not even a hint of news. Great.

New Rangers shirts haven't been announced yet either ! There have been a few speculations on that front, the best looking one I've seen so far is this :

Would love this to be true but I think Rangers have one more year with Umbro (now taken over by Nike)

I'm sure were not getting a new shirt, will just be a new sponser with a patch available for people with carbrini logo on, may be wrong but I'm sure it was on here few months ago that the home shirt is staying this new term.

Sureley we wouldn't flog the current one's for a fiver though if we weren't getting a new one (moving thread back to Charlton to avoid sinking!) ?

I heartilly agree that a nice new strip by a company that someone has heard of would be good- but Palace will always be scum no matter who makes the kit, they have no history and change their colours every season to reflect it.

The only adult size shirts left were 5XL as somebody said on another thread. From what I gathered there are new home and away shirts on order and Im told the away shirt is white but really nice....I'll confirm rough dates as soon as Im told.....

Pretty sure they don't actually sign deals with Nike, Adidas or Puma, they are sort of template kits with the colours changed for different clubs.

I thought we were going to be sponsored by Primark for £50million, replica shirts home and away for £4.96, and the proceeds going towards eradicating exploitative child labour in the Far East and elsewhere.

fug me, you're like the kid at the back who keeps shouting "fight, fight, fight" :-)

Can't you see that a group of people constantly discussing another football club on a football club's website don't really belong there, and may piss others off ?

What i can't understand is there is a dedicated site for people to discuss Charlton and Rangers issues, yet the majority of members members on there want to discuss the Rangers stuff on here instead.

Serious question, why is that ? Is it because some of you don't want to have that site shown on your work pc ?

    Well said AFKA.

As for our own kit why do people desperately want a kit made by one of the "big" manaufactureres, they all use a standardised design, I'm not saying last season's kit was nice by any stretch but I would rather designs that were new and different as apposed to seeing the same kist another team runs out in with a different badge and sponsor slapped on it.
  • It should also be noted that Palace's new kit is made by the Nike brand that does Sunday football teams, not the same nike brand as Brazil and Man Utd. Same kits as Southend have. Think the material's not as good.

What's wrong with Joma? I think they've produced top quality kits and training wear for years now for Charlton.

I really hope you were joking.......

The white kit last year is the only vaguely okish thing they have ever given us.

I've said it before, whatever we lost by going with a bigger name, I'm sure we would make up in increased sales. As soon as you see a nike swoosh or the addidas stripes every kid that comes to watch us is going to want both shirts, training kit, hat etc etc.
  • I've never been a fan of the joma kits. It would be nice to have a decent looking strip for once.
