After missing out on Benzema and looking like they ll miss out on Ribery. I firmly believe that Manure should put a bid in for Darren Bent.

Now most Spud morons would like to see him go, but why ? he was last season' top scorer but yet they still think he's crap.

If you look at his stats > http://www.soccerbase.com/players_details.sd?playerid=28055 he is one of the best strikers in the country and would come in cheaper than other foreign imports.

    Doubt it's his goalscoring record that means Spurs fans don't like him, he's a not as good technically as strikers they've had/have like Keane, Berbatov and arguably Defoe.

    He's just a goalscorer, doesn't have outstanding ability on the ball or a great football brain compared to Berbatov or Keane. He's not terrible in those areas but we built a system around him and played to his strengths. I'd say we covered his weaknesses more than Spurs do.

    If Man Utd used him in the right way he'd be useful, but they can't expect him to play the sort of football Rooney, Tevez and Ronaldo did last season. That said, two of them have gone so they might change their formation slightly and perhaps they could do with a player like Bent.
