cant see them anouncing that we are going into admin pre the game or at the game , hardley going to be the right time is it ? Could well be that RM has been brought out and is leaving and wants to say cherio to the staff he has worked with for a good while and then wil say same at the game.

The shareholders only have to be informed of a buy out above 39% ( ithink) .

Its another rumour thats all at mo.

The club statement said "an offer for the football club (through an acquisition of some of the assets and liabilities of Charlton Athletic plc)" - this doesn't necessarily mean that the whole plc is going to be purchased.

I can't see the need for a staff meeting the afternoon of a match, as Henry says there's lots to do, so it must be an important issue & I reckon it will be either

    "The acquisition has fallen through
    or
    "The acquisition will go ahead.

Then an announcemnt can be made at the match and if it is for the acquisition then the new Board member(s) can be introduced.
  • Probably asking the staff if anyone fancies playing centre half saturday week.

It will be a meeting of all staff to announce that legal advice has meant he cannot say anything at the moment, now can you both get back to work.

Either that or the meeting will be cancelled tomorrow morning on legal advice.

Could be a 'everyone get together before the first match since the redundancies to divvy out jobs to be done before the match'!

There will be people on kiosks, in shop, mowing lawn, cleaning showers, working in ticket office, working on turnstles, security etc etc

Could be lots of things , but why would it be RM saying who does what ? surely it would be the Ops manager/Director ?

its just the time this is all taking but i feel , there is no take over/part buy out. We will go into the season with one centre half and at least two more players being sold.

The club statement read "An offer was made for the football club(through an aquisition of some of the assets and liabilities of Charlton Athletic plc"
Now excuse me if I'm a thicko but what does this actually mean. Does it mean for instance they may buy the training ground and the football club or, whatever assets they buy it has to include the football club, or another take on it you have to buy everything or nothing.
Since this statement came out I have wondered what this actually means.

O/S says superstore closed until kit launch at 5pm today. Another pointer to the 'staff meeting'?

If there is a meeting today and it is to tell the staff that there has been a change at the top then it will be everywhere by kick off, no matter how hard they try and keep it quiet.

Its probably a meeting to tell staff, "If anybody asks you, you don't know nuttin, Kapiche !"

The meeting is probably the only chance before the season kicks off, to get everyone together for some moral boosting. " you do a great job" etc etc
I don't think they would announce a takeover to some kid who flips burgers.
I hope that this takeover takes place more than anything right now but I don't think this meeting is a clue to whether it will.

Yes, I thought that too, which is why I didn't rush to deny it. I then spoke to Ketman's dad and he knew nothing about it either.

Of course a meeting could be arranged at short notice, but if no one knows about it there is no one to leak it!

But you are Ketman's dad. Everyone knows that. Ketman is always boasting about it.

So you asked yourself. Very strange. Maybe the stress is getting to you. : - )
