Parky: 'Izale determined to save Charlton career'- SLP

edited July 2009 in General Charlton
CHARLTON boss Phil Parkinson says that Izale McLeod is fighting to prove he has a long-term future at The Valley.
The former MK Dons striker has struggled to shine since a £1.1million move to SE7 in August 2007. He spent the second half of last season on loan at Millwall but did not play after the start of March because he had a bust-up with Lions chief Kenny Jackett.
But McLeod - who scored 22 League Two goals in the 2006-07 season before his switch to Charlton - netted the winner in Tuesday's 2-1 win at Crawley.
Parkinson said: "Izale's scored goals in the lower divisions. He hasn't had a great time since he's been here but he's come back to training with the attitude that he wants to turn that around."

Izale was pumped up against Crawley. Was at the centre of a brawl on the pitch and was putting a lot of effort in.

The latest SLP story says that we can't offer Fortune a deal until the takeover goes through. It also interestingly says that Wade Small is a Charlton fan and is also keen to sign a deal but has to wait on the takeover to go through.
