Pre season ante post bets

I intend to march into Paddy Power at lunchtime, bold as brass, and stick some of my hard earned on Portsmouth to get relegated.

Any other investments being made by my fellow lifers?

Comments

  • I think Pompey are certs for the drop... or Paul Hart to win the sack race.
  • pompey deff to go down, did also have Hull but that was a bit premature, Jozy Altidore will bang in the goals for them (He has saved many a game for me on champ)
  • Can't see West Ham going down, they're far better than Burnley, Hull and Pompey.

I've got Notts County at 13-1, hoping to lay that today at 6-1.
  • Agree with Paul Hart in the sack race.

    Pompey
    Burnley
    Wolves

    To go down.

    Yankee for the Leagues this season is;

    Chelsea
    Boro'
    Charlton (heart over head)
    Bournemouth

Don't really see how West Ham can go down this season.

Too much dross - Burnley, Hull, Pompey, Wolves to name four for starters, with Brum and Stoke perhaps just keeping their heads above water

  • If you look at the players Wolves & Burnley have been signing, they are never going to survive. The gap is so big, you've got to go all out to try and keep yourslelves in the League. Brum have splashed out a bit.
  • I liked Eduardo top scorer if he can stay fit.
  • prem down: pompey, hull, burnley

league winners: chelsea, wba, norwich, rotherham
  • Apparanly England are 10/11 to win the toss in the fourth test. Does anyone seriously bet on the toss? At those odds?

  • Surely 10/11 the pair?

    I'm sure people do

I think you should change your first name to Gambling!

I've bet a score with a mate that Charlton will finish higher than Palace in our respective leagues, after promising myself that I would stop betting on Charlton!
  • You will see that I have taken on board your comments ;-)

lol - it is my job though ;-)
  • Darren Bent top EPL goalscorer each way 33/1, 1/4 odds 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

He will start, and when he plays week in week out he's good for 20+ goals.

Sorry I forget to add that I'm on Benty at 55 average on Betfair on this market and 15 average Top Prem English Goalscorer for the same reasons. He should be their regular Penalty taker as well which he wasn't at Spuds.
  • 55... nice

My old man's just had a tenner on them, and he's a Hammer so just might follow his lead. Think they got lucky last year with Zola giving them a bit of a lift but it's often harder in the second season and can't see them splashing the cash in Jan if they are down there. 14's with Betfred seems a decent price to me.
