Fight in north stand upper.

Was in the north stand upper drinks / food area at half time and it all kicked off between two blokes. Few punches and a bit of claret. Got sorted by what I presume was their mates pulling them apart but worrying that the stewards did absolutely nothing and there were quite a few very close. Lucky for the two protagonists that there was no old bill to be seen anywhere. Very unusual incident at The Valley ?

Right in the NE corner some guy had ago at Peter Lever: Peter is one of the nicest guys around.
He was queueing up for a drink and he called myself & Sandra over. Some guy behind said "Don't you know theres a f***ing queue" and we said we weren't jumping the queue, just talking to our mate. He became more & more aggresive, in the end pushing Pete out the way. Rock Specticle was there by now, and after pushing past us the guy bought his coffee and went using some choice language. We spoke to other people and No-one had seen this guy before. He came across as someone who was just looking for a chance to have a pop at someone.
Pete,Ian,Sandra & myself were all okay, but it put a dampner on the day.
Oh, and when Pete went to get served they'd run out of Lager.

I assumed that was a follow up on the handbags at dawn??

Was quite a funny moment thou, whole of H and J abusing the stewards, in a comical non offensive way (just to be PC)!!

Opon reflection the guy ejected, pretty sure remeber him leaving early most games last season generally spouting various abuse at the team/staff/our own fans

I saw the after effects of this one - definitely needed stitches.
I got back to my seat & all the guys next to me were saying it was one of their gang that did it! He butted the wrong guy by all accounts....

Not to mention the thieving parasite who stole Stefco's programme yesterday, thieving from your fellow fan- A Big NO NO in most sane people's opinion. Being a good quality fan he bought another thus helping the club just a teensy bit!

Perhaps they were getting in some practice for the visit of Millwall in December?

Could have been something in the premium filled pies on Saturday because I saw some old bloke have a go at another bloke when the old bloke walked his pint into him. Just a tad unreasonable.
And even more disconcerting was seeing Afka walking around the concourse at half time with what can only be be described as almost a smile on his face. ;-)
I know we were winning but what are the stewards doing?
Before you know it there will be people enjoying themselves at the valley ...

Anyone see that bloke going mad at those poor young lads?

He looked like he was going to kill.

Yes. But they had been acting like twats for ages, chucking torn up newspapers all over him for several minutes. He did go OTT though - shat them up, I reckon.

It was a few rows in front of me. For the most of the first half they were throwing handfuls of paper at him (and what looked like his young kid).
We are not talking a little bit of paper either. If you look around where they sit, the place is covered with paper, as are all the people too. They were warned last week by the stewards, and this week it looked like they got what they deserved!!

Anyone see the soton yokel in the train queue get hoiked out by the copper too? He'd been mouthing off "Charlton shoit" for ages, and some respectable fella was baiting him with "champions" until a copper had had enough and removed the idiot from the very restrained queue, to a chorus of cheerio cheerio cheerio. Very funny.

I saw that. He was only young and looked like he was going to cry when the copper grabbed him. I think they let him off after a little word. Obviously taking a leaf out of the refs book

Not sure the idiot would have got away with that for so long except at CAFC without being lamped. We're a tolerant bunch, ain't we?

I know its wrong to laugh at these things...but..I couldn't help chuckle at the shear amount of torn up newspaper that poor guy was sitting in - he was more than ankle deep. At least it shows commitment on the kids behalf.

Perhaps we should of moved these little lads to the seat just behind Pardew, would've been top notch for target practice.. ;o)
