Amaury Bischoff
Positon: Central midfielder
Age: 22
Club History: Werder Bremen (2005-08), Arsenal (2008-09)
International: Portugal U21 (1 cap, 1 goal)
Although he has precious little first team experience, Amaury Bischoff’s fledgling CV makes interesting reading. Bischoff started his career with Strasbourg in France earning himself a move to perennial title contenders, Werder Bremen in 2005. After impressing for the team’s second string, the midfielder made his first team debut in 2007 but decided to move on in 2008, rejecting a new contract to join Arsenal. Despite his undoubted talent, an injury-plagued first season led to his release at the end of June 2009, but if he can be kept fit the young midfielder has a lot to offer. A young man that has played for a big German club, played for Portugal’s Under-21 side, was rated by Arsene Wenger and is still only 22 could prove to be a bargain for a manager who enjoys a project. Worth a punt?

guessing would never come to us, plus we dont really need a central midfielder really. but good spot still as he is good player, well must of been with arsene sigining him
  • He's been without a club for over a month now so was just thinking he may want to get back into football and get first team football.

Why on earth would a player like that have any interest to join Charlton ? Sorry fella but we are going to have to go more down the Daily route with our list of 'wanted players' until at least we are back in the Championship. You can flower up the London thing and the league might suggest a more grandeur type of footie but essentially we are in the third tier of English soccer and no wannabe is gonna have a punt at that level.

Can I make a request for a new subforum?

"Players linked to us by people who somehow think fantasy football management games for the PC are in any way reflective of real-life, in terms of ability, the club's current finances or just sheer likeliness to happen"

I'm open to suggestions on a shorter title. How about 'The Fantasy Zone'?
  • fair enough guys. Just thought it was worth mentioning. I'm not fully aware of Charlton's financial position. Like my name says i'm from Glasgow and I'm a Rangers supporter Charlton are my English team and they don't get much coverage up here (y)
  • Look after "our " Boogie " up there, GA. He guested at one of our Supporter Group meetings soon after we signed him - English not great but a really lovely guy.

    Central midfield?
    One under21 cap?
    Injury problems?

He certainly seems to fit the bill
