Went to see the ma today in a nursing home. She was knocked down by a car a few years back and suffered a head injury which effectively stopped her world as she knew it forever.
Anyway it's a pretty good home this place and they often play music to soothe the residents. Was amazed to hear today when not some old jim reeves dirge but the Buzzcocks and "ever fallen in love" come blasting out of the speakers.
I looked round and realised that probably for some of the residents that was the music they used to listen to and i realised it was a 30 year old song.
That home is always a timely reminder to live your life while you can.
