Liked his attitude and effort but not good enough. Colchester and Milwall away in 09/10 will live very long in the memory whilst even last season, there were games when he lost his head and was a liability. He had enough chances to show what he can do and although he was an easy scapegoat, most of the criticism was justified. Wish him well at Blackpool but would be very surprised if he does well there.

Would rather keep Mig than either Dailly and Doherty. He IS one player who hasn't had a fair crack of the whip in my opinion.
agreed, though i am a bit of a fan of Doherty and feel some fans are on his back for no good reason other han malicious spite

No, it's because he is crap. Not having a go but the only player you seem not to like is Solly, although you have only seen him play twice, and have been fairly vocal in that. Perhaps you have only seen the Doc a few times too, if so I can tell you he ain't very good

Rumoured to be signing for blackpool.....

That'll be joining the other donkey's  on the beach   - not the football club.

Liked Big Mig at times the best delivery of long ball from the back.

  • I said the same in the rumour rumours thread Covered end!!!

Olly doesn't have any time for cheap mistakes, which is the biggest failing Mig has so it could be a good move for him. He might really get found out at Championship level if he doesn't up his concentration
  • He suffered from our defend deep policy even though it wasnn' his inclination. He used to attack the first ball then get caught out when defence didn't push out with him. Comfortable on the ball, not as slow as some make out although couldn't' turn.

His biggest downfall was lack of pace -he looked decent against some opponents but not against others. Was decent up the other end and I think we would all wish him well.

More or less agree with you, Harveys.

I've always considered that his biggest problem is when he pressed his 'Panic Button' ...... that's when he became a liability; rational thought went out of the window as his composure drained away.

Not that I don't like Solly, just he aint the messiah, he is a very naughty boy .. and , to put the record straight I try not to be over critical of any player .. BUT, the continual adoration of ( e.g.) Solly, Semedo, Racon and Dailly compared to  the abuse and invenctive aimed at (e.g.) Francis and Doherty is (I M H O) completely irrational but nothing that I have not seen and heard and experienced in over 45r years of following and supporting CAFC

You see, this is the sort of thing I just don't get.

Why resurrect a thread that's not been commented on for the best part of two years so that people have to wade through loads of ancient (and irrelevant) comments, getting bleedin confused as to why people are making songs up for him, when it's far easier to start a "Llera to Blackpool" thread?

    Baffling.

    But what's the point Talal?

Not passionate Benny, just (old and) easily confused.

When Miguel had a bad game, we all know it was more like a mare!  But more often than not, he played consistently well and would much rather him than Doherty or Dailly by an absolute country mile - at least he knew how to attack a ball!

Will miss seeing him sitting on his little stall next to the dugout with his knees by his chin!  I rate Llera and wish him all the best wherever he ends up!
  • Posseses that rare centre half ability which is that he can genuinely contribute to the attack, so I think he may fit in well with how Blackpool play, should that rumour be true.

Defensively i think he'll be better when surrounded by better footballers.

Watch 2nd half of video....worse as the Owen Hargreaves videos

    God that music is awful.
That goal against swindon though on boxing day was something special. Brilliant team spirit that day.

The only good thing about Llera is long balls and free kicks.

Other than that he is totally useless and he can't defend so I won't be sorry to see him go.

So I take it you didn't get his name on the back of your shirt last season, Disco? :)

Mig's incredible. Even though that was a highlights video of him shopping himself around, I still expected him to lose the fucking ball every time it came near him. Good luck to the bloke - lovely fella on accoun t of all those who've met him, just an absolutely pony footballer.

Oh not another of the 'Nice bloke, shit footballer' club...

Had lots of 'nice blokes' at the club recently.

Hasn't got us very far has it....

Can't defend?! I admit that he has had a few absolute nightmares for us, but think calling him totally useless is a tad harsh.  The best centre back we had last season albeit he barely played.  Says a lot for that complete donkey Doherty and unfortunately Mr Dailly last year!  Lllera is a player who I still believe was very unfairly treated by the club and took way too much flack from us fans - everyone seemed to miss Dailly's constant errors!
