But when was the last time we had the same Starting XI in 5 consecutive League matches?

guess might be as far back as 98/99

mind you it sometimes felt you had to go back pre-Pardew to find when we had just one player in thconsecutive starting XIs

In fact, in our history, have we ever had the same starting Team for the first 5 matches of any season?

Where's Colin Cameron when you need him?
  • Make that 6 games with the same starting lineup. Now that HAS to be a record not just at the beginning of the season.

    Doesn't it?

If it's not a record, it probably last happened a long time ago.
  • Make that seven.

Charlton named an unchanged starting line-up for the seventh successive match on Saturday, as Southampton came to SE7.
Skipper Nicky Bailey shook off a knee complaint to continue on the left hand side of midfield, while midfielder Therry Racon overcame a hamstring niggle.

The selection of the same starting XI saw the Addicks break a record dating back to 1969/70.
    On the email bulletin.

Really good to see after the last 3 seasons, especially when Pardew was here.

Ah but was this at the start of the season?
  • Eight to date but from reading the reports at least one player appears to be playing with a knock so Parky may have to bite the bullet soon.
