Rurik Gislason is in squad of 18 players for tonights game

according to Icelandic media and this story says that Pardew has asked the impending move of Rurik to Valencia to be stalled according to Gislasons agent, Olafur Gardarson.

    Good news!

    If Valencia are keen then he must be a decent player... let's hope we get the chance to see if that's true, in a Charlton shirt rather than a Valencia one...

    My Icelandic is a bit rusty, so I cannot comment on the article, however Gislason is not listed in the squad on the BBC web site.

    Charlton agree to Valencia offer for Rurik

    Charlton have agreed to let Icelandic Under 21 international, Rurik Gislason, go to Valencia on loan until the end of the season.

    Rurik told Channel 2 sportsbroadcaster, Þorsteinn Gunnarsson, that Charlton have agreed to let him go to Valencia and he said the offer was too good to turn down.

    Rurik has had no opportunities at Charlton but is in the 18-man squad for tonights game against Fulham (He and Diawara did not make the 16-man squad).
