Can confirm that Robbie 'did' in fact call for the ball.

    question is would Llera have heard in the headgear

    I used to wear one sometimes for rugby and it definitely had an adverse impact on your ability to hear your team-mates calls

    one of the reasons I stopped wearing it

    Can confirm that, if Robbie 'did' indeed call for the ball - it was f***ing quiet as I was sat about 20 feet behind him and didn't hear a f***ing thing.

    I was right behind the goal and that is what it seemed like.

    I was in Row A, directly in line with Elliot. I heard nothing.

    If it was Keily, you'd have heard him in Chelmsford.

    I was halfway back, pished, and could only hear myself slurring.

    Make of that what you will as to whether he called or not.

    Surely though, if Robbie was in front of you and was facing away from you, you may not have been best placed to hear. I was sat to the far right in row four and I heard diddly as well.

    Robbie is a very good young keeper who's just had a somewhat dodgy game...he needs to regroup and show his mettle....I rather fancy he's going to have every opportunity to do just that tomorrow!!!

    Who wonts anymore? If we want to see how good we are then we want to settle down, give some support to the team and see how good we are. Which personally with this squad I think we'll be lucky to finish second, mainly because we won't cope with injury, nothing to do with Elliot who is more than good enough.

    Anyone criticising Elliot on one game when his excellent saves have protected our leads and won matches for us must be chief loons from county loon land.

    Agree it would be mad to drop Elliot. He shouldn't have come for the 1st or 3rd goals, but all keepers have their mental moments. Deano was never convincing when he came out too far. I put it down to a one-off bad game.

    i thought robbie made a clanger for norwich's late equaliser ... could be argued that it may have been a foul but the decision to commit to that challenge meant he had to clear the lot and it was the wrong decision imo , he did make a couple of good saves in the norwich game as well but got away with a shocking punch in the first half

    From what I have seen Elliott looks a great prospect. He is an especially good shot stopper and - as has been said - has played his part in our success to date wth a number of crucial saves. It is still early days in respect of his working with the current CHs and in terms of aerial bombardments targetted at big frontmen we clearly came up short. Poor match preparation on the training ground? Hopefully lessons learnt and a return to winning ways (or a clean sheet at least) against Leeds!

    Hope Tuesday won't affect his confidence too much.

    If we've noticed he can be a bit unsure when the ball is in the air from crosses etc, then other teams are certain to be going to be testing him from corners and free kicks.
