I believe his game was due to be played this coming Saturday but has been postponed due to Leeds having 3 international call-ups.

BUT

Snodgrass today withdrew due to an injuy (kept him out of our game).......therefore he is unavalable anyway, should they now play this game?

  • A Leeds fan on the train back told us that he spent £50 on train tickets for Bristol only for the game to be called off. I guess there will be a few fans who would want it to be back on and it shouldn't be too hard to arrange, but common sense doesn't apply at football.

I want Leeds to win as well.

The more we can break away from the rest - the better.

    I would say:

    1. Leeds are looking very good to go up anyway so it maintains a gap between Bristol Rovers and us
    2. All the while Leeds are winning it keeps the spotlight off us, leaving us to just go about our business - that of going up - nice and quietly

I'm happy for Leeds to faulter but not to those who we see as 'promotion rivals'

what if Leeds romp away with it and then we get pipped at the post by Rovers or Col U or even Norwich. Surely it's better that Leeds are kept well within range so if it comes to a dogfight we have a better chance. BTW, Leeds last two games are away to us and then home to Bristol Rovers last game of the season. What if Rovers are a point behind us then we will want Leeds to beat them which if they are already promoted they may not do.

A draw is always best in such situations.

I think the point is that we'd like Leeds to beat the likes of Bristol Rovers, but happy for them to lose to teams like Tranmere and Wycombe, who won't be troubling us come the end of the season. I know that's far less likely, but that's the ideal scenario.
  • I think the chances of Bristol Rovers being up there by spring are slim. Leyton Orient were top from August til Oct 2 years ago and they ended up in the bottom half of the table come May.

I'm with dabos, remember the target is top 2 - both clubs would settle now for finishing 2nd and be delighted!

It is highly likely that at least one of Leeds/Charlton will finish top 2 .... at the moment, I'll be very happy to see Leeds beat any other clubs in or around the top 6 - and won't mind in the least if they lose to Wycombe & Tranmere etc.

Sod all this happy with finishing second lark - going up is priority number one, but we're in it, we should be trying to win it. Any other mentality will juist us leave us open to tailing off and falling short.

We'll need a fair dose of luck with injuries and suspensions but We've seen enough now to know we've got a more than realistic chance so I say let Leeds drop some points so we can go top again. We can then cancel out Brzzle's gain when we beat them later in the season!

provided it's accompanied with a 22 man brawl which leads to points deductions for both

    ... being played tonight.

I am waivering from my happiness to see Leeds beat any other contenders for promotion - I think another defeat for Leeds tonight would be good for us (and Colchester of course).

And if Dicko were to contrive to score a couple we can recall him unless Rovers promise to stump up some cash in January.

yeah, bristol win works for me ... and then spanners beat colchester on saturday leaving the way clear for us to go top ;-)
  • tbh i wud like a leeds win, Then hopefully ourselves and leeds can make a bit of a gap between the other teams. Could give monkeys whether we win the league or come second, just want to be out of it. Just think, a few bad results could mean we are fighting for playoffs not automatic.

    Disagree.

Millwall are 8 points behind us. Let's keep it that way.

If we were to be pipped at the post for promotion, I would much rather it be done by Colchester than bleedin' Millwall !

Shoot for the moon, because if you miss, you'll still end up amongst the stars.
So, go for the title...I/we want Leeds to lose...IMHO if we are above Leeds come May, we'll get promoted.
  • A brace from Dicko for all his fans on this board, I reckon!

Remember though, Dicko has only got 4 goals from 6 starts.

Compared to McLeod, who has 3 goals from 3 starts, lol

I want Leeds to beat our rivals, but I don't seriously consider that Brizzle will end up top 6. On that basis I want Brizzle to win.
  • According to Talksport this morning Dickson is struggling with sickness & might have to miss this one.
