Charlton are reported to be showing an interest in Scunthorpe striker Paul Hayes with a view to a January move.

The Addicks, along with Leeds United and Derby County, are said to be showing an interest but it remains to be seen if the Iron would be willing to sell the 26-year-old.

Hayes, who is enjoying his second spell at Glanford Park, has chipped in with three goals so far this season and boss Nigel Adkins will be reluctant to let him go.

Now that would be a great signing.

I might even get his name put on the back of my son's shirt : - )

Doubt we will sign him, couldn't afford him and he is hardly out of the picture there so why would he want to leave? Think we are more likely to get Kandol, even though I really hope we don't

heard a rumour we were signing some geezer called McKenzie, some claim he has signed although he's yet to be seen, wonder if he does actually exist?

Isn't there a striker at Sarfend who's banging them in for fun at the moment?
    Correct me if I'm wrong....but I thought I saw/heard about him.....maybe a better bet?

Barnard. Yes but this guy has a much better name and his record at this level is very good. Won promotion with Scunny.

Is also the younger brother of Martin.

And he is an east London boy so a move to Charlton may interest him over another grim northern outpost.

Lee Barnard spent most of his career at Spurs in the stiffs until he was 23 playing on loan for various League 1/2 sides.I rate him and feel he would be an asset.

Kandol made an extremely rare appearance for Leeds last night and scored.

Kandol scored against Darlington! Hardly a reason to want him back, if he can't get into leeds side then he should not be in ours!

I hear there's even a better one at Bristol Rovers who we can get for free and we don't even have to wait 'til January.

    I'll get my coat.

And at Exeter, scored again last night! But did miss the decisive penalty in the shootout

He scored 17 league goals last season, and 18 in 2004/05 in League 1, so clearly knows where the goal is.

I liked what I briefly saw last season, Scunny were impressive. But if we have to pay more than the £400,000 they paid for him not too sure as he isn't quite champ level.
  • Looks a bit like Doctor Who.
