As I've said I'm past caring who owns us . But I have to agree with Goonerhater. We've got Chappell, who worked in the NHS for years like some kind of Trojan horse before he went and made a mint out of privatised health services. Could anything the pornsters have done be more morally reprehensible than that?
Happy with Sullivan/Gold. Not ecstatic but we need the money.
Wise - I'd say no. It was bad enough with Dowie and ex Palace etc, but Wise is a nasty piece of work and fans would definitely not want him, which must cause problems.
So i think it's safe to say Dennis isn't very popular then? Lets hope if it's him he turns up at the Valley with a bus full of Galacticos or things could get very 'interesting'..
Just to be different the fans took over the running of our club, and actually own it. Yes, I am one of owners. We currently are the last trust owned football league club, as I believe the Brentford fans have sold out to a buyer.
The good points are we are very much a community based club (Ithink that is why I like Charlton) and are not prepared to let the club operate outside their means.
The bad points are that we are not capable to fund massive investments and not sure whether we can compete at a very high level.
Sullivan/Gold - They do tend to offer stability and investment when required.
For some on here who couldn't understand what AFKA meant - Hypotheticals are situations, statements or questions about something imaginary rather than something real. Hypotheticals deal with the concept of "what if?"'. Grammatically, the term is a noun formed from an adjective, and the word is pluralized because it refers to the members of a class of hypothetical things.
Hypotheticals are very important because they provide a means for understanding what we would do if the world was different. Although this may assist our understanding of risk, and help us plan and create a new and better future, hypotheticals also help us understand the past, and why things happened or how things work. For example, in seeking to understand why a war started we could ask: "What if the parties had talked more first? Would they have worked out a better way of solving their problems? Could war have been averted?" Hypotheticals about the past are challenging to consider, as it is not possible to enter the past to change things according to our hypotheticals and determine what then may have occurred.
If you can't manage to cast a vote "hypotheticaly" for one of the choices then just move on. Neither was not an option.
The trouble is, when Paul Nottage saying "it doesn’t matter who they are" as long as they are prepared to run the club in the right way, gets spun by the papers as being in favour of Wise and Jiminez, I'm wary of expressing any kind of hypothetical preference. Particularly in this case, where it's not so much a preference for one, just a lower level of dislike/distrust than I have for the other. Saying that hypotheticals are useful to help us plan is not really a valid argument, unless the range of hypothetical options given are those you'd have available to you in real life. In reality it wouldn't be Wise/Jiminez or Gold/Sullivan, it'd be Wise/Jiminez or Gold/Sullivan or sticking with the devil you know, and with those options I'd vote c.
I've gone for Dennis Wise for the reasons I've stated in a thread below. But naturally no-one knows the full details as yet and what levels of investment we are talking - if any. Jimenez's previous role in our Zabeel near-miss also influenced me.
I've noticed today that David Gold is now once again looking to stay on at Brum so the Porn Baron option might be rather depleted. Something to consider when Gold's wealth adds another 60-70% on top of Sullivan's alleged fortune.
Can`t possibly vote on what I know at present. Have a feeling that this takeover if it is going to happen will be done well out of media scrutiny and therefore completed and presented before we have time to assess the possible virtues of any involved parties.
I voted for Sullivan/Gold as the better of two not very palatable options. I don't trust Wise, since leaving football as aplayer he's flitted about as a manager/fixer and was allegedly behind the resignation of Keegan asking him to sign a South American that KK had never seen play. What was in it for Wise? A quick buck as a middle-man prepared to sell the club he was employed at a dodgy player, that isn't the way you go about treating your employers or in KK's case your fellow employees.
Gold and Sullivan - particularly the latter are no angels either even if you discount the porn stuff. Sullivan was arrested on fraud/tax evasion charges (along with Karren Brady) although they were dropped. But at least he offers some managerial and business experience.

So I would go for Arabs without him or Sullivan and Gold.
Erm, sorry. That doesn't answer the question!
To answer the hypothetical question the Porn Bros.

now now if youre a fan you are a fan you dont get to quit just like that!
I don't want that little fucker Wise anywhere near Charlton.

Don't imagine any of us will be consulted anyway.
