hmm.... the only prob is - according to bruce forsyth John Barnes was more embarrassed to wear a charlton shirt than a sparkly yellow leotard on strictly come dancing and Paul Elliot is unknown outside of the close football grass roots community work for his links with charlton as he's always quoted as being ex celtic and chelsea - never any mention of charlton.
People in my office when it was announced he was part of the bid - they all said : "whats he doing there? he hasn't done anything for years and he wasn't that great at celtic or chelsea"
sadly the fact he's a trustee of our community and does masses of work with the PFA which goes largely unnoticed.
