A funk instrumental by James Brown's band The JB's, with Bootsy Collins on bass and his older brother Phelps 'Catfish' Collins on guitar. Both were to leave the following year to board the P-Funk mothership. It's got a kind of Afrobeat feel to it. I don't know if they'd already toured Africa at the time it was recorded, though.
Blackstar - Bowie Had it since Jan but first time I've played it. Sounds good, certainly registered with me on first hearing unlike Next Day which I still haven't taken to yet. (Bear in mind I've only played that 3 or 4 times to date)
