Turin Brakes - the optimist LP0

Savages - Husbands
I'm a bit slow to find Savages but this early track is very good, shouty jump around music.
The new album is a bit slower but still worth a listen0 -
David Gray - forever is tomorrow is today, from one of my favourite albums Sell, Sell, Sell. Which is quite apt in these days as a Charlton fan....

Burning of the Midnight Lamp - Jimi Hendrix
I absolutely love this song, one of my favourites by Hendrix.
But why does every recorded version sound so shitty?
Poorly recorded or is it just me?

Green River - Creedence Clearwater Revival
Another classic that came up on my ipod on shuffle.
Love John Fogerty's voice and you can almost smell the Bayou.

'Frantic' by GUN, Scotland's foremost rock band, criminally underrated and commercially overlooked, tremendous live act.

Loving Bon Iver's new album but the last track drops in one of my all time favourites - Fionn Regan's Abacus. Beautiful.

Thanks for that. The reference to Fionn Regan made me look at this and I have now downloaded the album, very good indeed.TelMc32 said:Bon Iver's new album and especially 00000 Million where he samples Fionn Regan.

Some Musique Concrete. Well, actually the sound of the builders sorting out the next door neighbours subsidence issue.
To drown it out, some seventies disco in the form of Heatwave, as a tribute to Mr.Temperton.

used to have a good drink and stuff down in Balham way back when with original 'Gun' member Stephen 'Baby' Stafford and friends ... a lovely guy, great company, highly intelligent, good conversationalist, a 'bird magnet' and a terrific guitarist .. them was the days ((:>)StigThundercock said:'Frantic' by GUN, Scotland's foremost rock band, criminally underrated and commercially overlooked, tremendous live act.

Am really enjoying the whole Bon Iver album though. He's trying a good few different things, from what I have heard from him before anyway, and it's definitely working for me.1 -
Bruce Springsteen - The wild the innocent and the e street shuffle.

I heard Springsteen talking yesterday and was surprised (don't know why) at what a sensible, level headed decent sort of bloke he appeared to be. I was very impressed.0

After simpering through the classic It's My Party and Maybe I Know, Lesley flexes her feminist muscles on this.
A great performance and she was still a teenager and it was still the 60's.
