Circulus: Reality's a fantasy 'Canterbury Scene'-style pastoral synth-funk. I enjoyed seeing this band of merrie medieval minstrels last weekend at the Bermondsey Folk Festival.
cant believe yesterday I met a girl who didn't know who the stone roses are. I know a few on here would be appalled. even I was and I'm not even a huge fan. she can fuck right off. certainly not the one.
The Stars, the Ocean and the Moon - Echo & The Bunnymen
A new album of reworks which is astounding and reminds me of a period when the UK seemed to effortlessly produce original, excellent and very influential bands, Echo being one of many from that era, which also included The Cure and The Smiths. Ian McCulloch despite being much older (he's 59), continues to be a very fine vocalist.

My fave off their latest is currently 'Never Fight a Man With a Perm', just fills me with energy:
Prefer Brutalism to Joy at the moment but Joy is growing on me.
