Mentioned it a few mentioned it a few pages back, but Tim Burgess from The Charlatans has been doing some great stuff every evening with his listening parties.
You just stick the album on, or stream it, and he gets the artists involved and live tweeting stories about the tracks and what was happening when they recorded it. Some great stuff so far (you can look back at ones already done) and looking forward to The Specials this weekend with Terry Hall and Horace Panter joining in.
the Jam, 1977 session for the legendary John Peel. The real raw stuff before they went all jazz funk. Used to love John Peel, 10 pm every weekday night. But he did play some absolute shite as well
Feel like I've just discovered Talk Talk and loving it. Had obviously heard of them and the odd song on the radio but for some reason never paid much attention til now.
