I know vlc player (type it into google) plays pretty much every file type so I guess it plays DVDs but not certain....useful program to have nonetheless
go to the website of the pc manufacturer, search on downloads for that model you can often download the original build software which may include dvd software with codecs - important - try it..

think I've got real player already. Will try that.
Where do I get Flv from?
Simple, google flv player...
Yep it is that easy.
FLV will play pretty much anything and can be found by googling I believe
It does annoy me when people ask, 'where do I find it?' When they have blatantly not making any effort to find it themselves!
hence the request for a particular site.
will play dvd's from any/every region as well...
I don't, they are working fine I don't watch such things but I do need it for a training course I'm delivering on Friday.
I'll try VLC then
Thanks for the help guys.
