Kent's highest ever score in Yorkshire ... a young and ambitious team is looking for promotion .. I mean Kent, not Yorkshire who as always are in a poor state
Mat Coles - highest FC score and a maiden FC hundred. I wonder what was going through his mind when Davies was out and Shreck (FC average of bugger all) walked into bat?
Looking at the commentary, he got his century with a six!
Clearly he didn't trust Shreck, a touch of the KP too :-)
Kent SportsNews Kent have enforced the follow on at Headingley with Yorkshire trailing by 173 runs and the rest of today to get a result. Come on Kent!
Yep though it's a good job we have Coles at 9 and Tredders at 10 'cos he's certainly not there for his batting (average of 3.89 from 113 First Class Inns). Just about the worst I have ever seen apart from Kevin Jarvis when he played for us that is.
Sheck or "Stoat" as he's known has the worst batting average of any current cricketer that I can think of - Chris Martin at Test level has an average of 2.42, but has a FC average of 3.92. Kevin Jarvis had an average of 3.59.
It would take the amputation of my right hand to get the ball off me if one of those three walked into bat.
Going to Whitstable this week-end but seriously thinking of stopping off at Canterbury for a few hours to watch some overs. Into the car to listen to The Lovely Red Boys on Radio Kent...then on to Whitstable.
Yeah....just realised that P....looked to check before setting off, thank God! Was thinking we'd be at home cos we were away to Yorkshire. Ah well, more time in the Ship Centurion in Whitstable High Street....and a few glasses of my favourite beer....draught Erdinger.

It was mussels (not Oysters) by the way that fateful day with Billy Boy, honestly thought I was nearing death.
Matt Coles gets the breakthrough for Kent as he bowls David Sales for 42 and Northants are 69 for 5, still trailing Kent by 167 runs.
