Derby 46 -4 after 12.5 overs but umpires discussing rain at present. Can see them coming off soon to disrupt our rampant lads' start ....party poopers !!
Rather harsh. Admittedly in this innings he could have done what Nick Knight wanted and boosted the run rate, but that's not the way he plays, so why throw away his wicket when he could have the opportunity to see the game through.
He's always been touted as the next best English talent, and his first 2 years at Kent he never really lived up to the hype. But after being dropped at the start of this season he seems to have found some mental toughness, and some improved technique to accompany his undoubted talent which has seen him post back to back hundreds, after a 50 not out against the South Africans and a match winning one day half century too. Lets hope he continues to improve, and also lets hope Kent ensure they make him sign a new contract as he's out of contract after this season.
