I'm 20 miles in round figures from Canterbury and if they've had the rain we have tonight I can't see the outfield drying enough to allow any play at all tomorrow.
Unsatisfactory but Essex do appear to be Millwall to Kent's Charlton and bl**** Masters is Shittu!

Oi! I support Essex! Millwall? Oh that cuts me deep
Kent Cricket News @ksncricket Meanwhile, the umpires will have another look at 2:30pm at Canterbury where there's been no play today so far due to the rain. #kentcricket
Kent Cricket News @ksncricket The umpires have decided the ground is playable and we will have a resumption at 3:30pm with Kent 113 for 4, trailing Essex by 56 runs.
Kent Cricket News @ksncricket Sam Northeast doesn't add to his overnight score and is lbw to Topley for 70. Two fours from Geraint Jones and Kent are now 130 for 5.
Kent Cricket News @ksncricket Kent lose their second wicket as Geraint Jones is now lbw to Topley for 12 and they're 149 for 6, still trailing Essex by 20 runs.
Kent Cricket News @ksncricket Wicket! Darren Stevens falls on 67 c Shah b Panesar and @kentcricket are now 195 for 7, leading Essex by just 26 runs. #kentcricket
Match drawn. Okay, but I still rate this Kent side the worst I've seen. See if we rebuild rather than dismantle this winter.
Stevens is under investigation by the IPL. If guilty the going rate is a 1 year ban which, after 995 runs and 28 wickets so far this season, really would leave us up s*** creek without a paddle!
Positives are hard to find when we've lost the likes of Coles and Notheast has been so poor (yesterday excepted). However Haggett hasn't had too bad a first first class season, Riley is improving and Harmison has done better than expected too.
A decision needs to be made as to which (if either) of Davies and Shreck are retained. Shreck is our leading wicket taker but they've come at a cost so I'd prefer Davies although he's made of glass. It's a dilemma.
