Converting sony mini dv tape to a DVD?

Anybody know the best way to go about this? Was wondering if there are any firms that can do it for you and how much it costs for a few copies?

I havn't a clue!

    you could try downloading handbrake, theres all sorts of conversion tools on there, http://handbrake.fr/

    If you're PC has got a firewire port, use a firewire to mini-firewire cable to connect camcorder to PC. Windows should automatically pick it up and you can use the built in Windows software (windows movie maker on Vista and there is one on XP, cant remember what its called though...)

    You basically run the software, press record on the PC and press play on the camcorder then sit and wait. Job done.

    Remember having a play doing the same thing a few years back without any problems.
