Technical question on Virgin Media / Sky Recording

Just had virgin media set up today and would like to ask a couple of questions

A) In booklet it says that you can record from the box to recordable DVD .... can anyone advise on best buy ets for one of these.

B) also is it possible to record from the box to a memory stick

    Not sure, but I think you can record to DVD if there is a component output on the back of the V+ box.

    Don't think you can download onto USB
