first year my youngest has had a real festive feast of xmas football Swindon,Brentford and Walsall all within a week he cant wait.

My lad is now 22 - but he's leaving Xmas Eve and driving to bloody Mali in a battered 1968 LH drive Renault for the charity rally.

The rally is officially cancelled because it's deemed too dangerous to drive through Mauritania, but this stubborn hothead reckons he's still going - and getting an armed escort at the Mauritania border.

Am I worried?
