Help! Questions reg. cricket

Going to my first cricket match tomorrow (Day 1 of the test match between Australia v Pakistan).
Got absolutely no idea what do expect.
It starts at 10.30am.
What about breaks? What time and for how long?
What time can I expect Day 1 to finish?

Need to know, so I can plan the rest of the evening.
Apologise for the (perhaps) silly question, but I've seriously got no idea! And I didn't manage to find anything on Google.

There'll be drinks breaks every hour or so, which last about two minutes. Lunch will be taken at 1, play recommencing at 1:30(ish). Tea is usually taken at around 4 for 20 minutes or so, and play will close at around 6 PM

You lucky lucky so and so, a Boxing Day test in Oz is a dream of mine to get too...

Normally in England, the timetable is as follows, so I would expect to take 30mins off each time

Each day is 90 overs...

11am Start of Morning Session - 2 hours 30 overs (using 15 overs per hour as recommended pace)
1pm Lunch break (40 mins)
1.40pm Afternoon Session - 2 hours again 30 overs
3.40pm Tea (20min)
4pm Evening session - 2 hours again 30 overs
6pm Stumps (Close of play)

So I guess it will finish around 5.30pm then (if it starts at 10.30am).

Not sure why Boxing Day cricket is so big.
Normally there's around 90-95k at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
But what makes the Boxing Day cricket so special?
Oh well, I guess that I to a cricket fan sound just like my wife sounds to me, when she asks me about football.

I took the missus to Aus v SA at Sydney.

Never been so bolloxed ever.

There was a pyramid in front of us of pint pots.

Ended up in some swanky quayside bar at 6pm bar able to stand, watching the end of days play.

hilarious run out incident involving that first class berk Shane Watson, couldn't of happened to a nicer fella - especially after the way he sent-off Chris Gayle after dismissing him last week, I bet Gayle wet himself with laughter!

I love test cricket. Absolutely love it.
Took me a bit of time to really understand, but now that it clicks, it's soooo good (and even better when the Aussies lose).
Twenty20 however...pfffft, silly stuff.

Stone, been living in Melbourne since 2008.
Been back to London 3 times since and last time (Sept 2011), I was lucky enough to watch us against Scunthorpe (the other two times, we've played away to Preston or Exeter and I couldn't justify the train trips, due to a short time in London).
Prob won't be back for another 1 1/2 year or so though.
Hope life is treating you well.
