All,

There was mention of a free, decent Antivirus the other day and I'll be buggered if I can find the discussion, can anyone help me out or advise of one?

    Free, I don't know.

    But if you pay, go for Kaspersky Internet Security.

    AVG or Avast are the two lead free ones. Both quite good, though of little use on detecting if you're already infected. If you are infected Kaspersky was always far superior to all other AV's I've ever used.

    I would definately recommend 'Avira' antivirus. AVG can slow your computer down.

    Avira's the one I use too. Of course, you're never going to get as comprehensive protection as you would with a premium application but Avira, AVG and Avast are all have good free versions.

    Nod32 is the best paid for antivirus .
