Top 5 songs of Belle and Sebastian

edited January 2010 in Not Sports Related
I was never into Belle & Sebastian but because of the excellent God Help The Girl album, I've donwloaded a little to add to what I have.

The best five songs I know are:

I'm A Cuckoo
Dirty Dream Number Two
White Collar Boy
The Boy With The Arab Strap
The Blues Are Still Blue

Be grateful for any more suggestions :-)

  • The Boy With The Arab Strap is the only one I like that I've really heard to be honest.

Heard them totally butcher 'The Boy with a Thorn in his Side' on Limewire so have avoided em since. . . .

Funny Little Frog (The Life Pursuit)

DCW will probably be my first purchase.
  • and which are your favourites?
  • B&S still hold the honour of worst band I have ever seen live in 21 years & countless hundreds of shows.

Union Chapel circa July '97 - they were dreadful, farted & fannied around with such twee, precociousness & indie-schmindie attitude. I think we even left early as it was so intolerable.

Great band but they were unbearable that night.............
  • Suzi - they all are! Seriously information overload to have favourites yet, especially amongst the more delicate songs which aren't even on the CD above.

I would definitely add The State I Am In to my original list.
  • I like "The Boy with the Arab Strap" but to be honest I can't listen to them properly as my missus is so obsessed with them she listens to them everyday and sings along to every tune and it drives me nuts........... I'm sure I piss her off when I wake her and the neigbours up at 4 in the morning singing Valley Floyd Road though so fair dues.
