Swadlings on Rushy Green in catford used to be a local institution. Sold toys and prams, the huge silver cross coachbuilt ones.
I think Showell Bros toyshop in Eltham High street has long since gone too.0 -

Yep.
One at Victoria Station also, when I worked there in the early 80s .
Greasy Jones, we used to call it. And every train journey home in the evening stank of horseburgers and greasy chip fat, as starving commuters stuffed their faces.
