Went to the opening of the Glasgow Film Festival last night. It was the UK premiere of Micmacs, a French film starring Danny Boon, from the director of Amelie (Jean Pierre Jeunet). Would recommend it as something really original and quirky - about a man and his oddball group of friends who set out to destroy two arms dealers, which sounds (and is) a serious subject, but done in a comedic - at times slapstick - way.

'about a man and his oddball group of friends' - encompasses a lot of Charlton fans I'd imagine !!

You may not be far wrong there, Large...

This lot are VERY oddball - for example, one has a bullet stuck in his head while another is a female contortionist...
