Great news !!
just love his afternoon show - esp when callers ring in with their replies to the many subjects he sets..........like the old days when he hosted 6060 -

Danny was there but it wasn't him that said that ... I know because I was there that night. It was a Sham 69 gig and Jimmy Pursey made the comment to the mass of Skins and Punks ...Danny certainly agreed and made the point just as strongly in the audience but it was not him on the microphone.
The events of the Tony Parsons novel 'Stories We Could Tell' was based on what happened that night in August 1977, including that incident.0 -

Can't remember them all but there was Max Bygraves, Peter Sellers and Tommy Steele. He said that he'd deliberately picked stuff that he'd heard as a kid as that informed his later musical tastes. It sounded to me like Junior Choice from the '60s.
No idea what they were other than being obscure/controversial/different just for the sake of it.very good ... typical danny baker choices

if you listen yo Baker on BBC LDN then you'd know he isn't playing those choices just to be obscure/controversial/different just for the sake of it , it's because that's his tastes. Personally I love the wide range of stuff he's into0
