Could do. Doesn't really need a category tho (Use Not C Related). Want to know what jobs are on offer, search for "job". Can even save the search and run it from time to time (When you search for something there's the option to save the search term; a link will appear in the control panel and you can run that search with new results whenever). Personally, I don't want too many categories (In fact, a pet peeve of mine, people are posting rumours and not putting them in the rumour category, tut tut).
But, it's a good idea and in principle there's nothing wrong with people posting vacancies etc*. If people want it to be a category tho then say so below and we can do it. Otherwise, we'll leave it like it is and you can just search.
*DISCLAIMER: If you take a job posted here, or if you hire someone through a posting here, it's nothing to do with us if they (employer/employee) turn out to be useless etc!
A separate category would be good. That way you just need to search on JOBS (or whatever) and even if its a bit old you've got details of who was looking for someone similar to yourself or works / recruits in your industry.
if you just hit on the search button at the top, then typed in 'job' whilst clicked in discussions, you'd get the same results.
not sure people have fully got to grips with the search facilities yet. You can search discussions, any comments ever made, just by putting in a keyword, or can see all individuals comments etc.
I'm in for that, the job section that is!! I'm not in recruitment, but at this moment I have a few vacancies and I am always looking for good people who want to work locally. I was in London but got fed up with the daily commuting.
When you say you like the idea of a "job section" (HU and IS) do you mean a category in the Forum?
@IS: That's a very good idea, and very doable. Anyone else interested? If there is interest, I'll put it on the to do list... (I'm talking about the Charlton Job Directory)

I'd put my company on there. Both options are valid. I think it would be better to split the two. One section for recruitment, just the vacancy offer and who should be contacted, and a business section where there is the company name with a brief decription of the services offered and the CAFC contact.Under this there should also be a link to that suppliers website.

Do you have any weekend work?[/quote]
No weekend work i'm afraid. Good old Monday - Friday 0830 - 1730hrs.
That Wimbledon business Directory charges 117 squids per annum for listings! I thought it was an innocent community site. Suppose it makes sense, as other directories charge for listings.

What are you insinuating Birthday Girl?
I also like this idea from AFC Wimbledon's site - a directory of traders and businesses, so fans can help each other.

We could even create a new CAFC first XI that gives a toos and wins a few games! ;o)
That way they'd be no need to ever log off ;-)
