Just seen him on telly. There is something about this smug, two faced, Eton educated shit that gives me the creeps!

Just ensuring we have balance on here! (see Gordon Brown thread)

    love him!

Anyway he sends his kids to public school not private, he spends his time with the people, he might not have first hand experience of being hard-up bit he doesn't try to hide it either, he listens, he justifies every decision with a reason and does it all with a smile. Great man who will hopefully be Priminister this time next month.

I genuinely didn't think anyone fell for the whole 'Call me Dave' act. If you want to vote conservative that's fine, but I hate to think that anyone is making their decision based on a cynically constructed media profile.

Do you think he would be doing that if he wasn't trying to be PM?
Like all these politicians looking to be leader these days, everything they do is choreographed for the public votes. He's no more genuine than the other lying, hypocritical, self (and their buddies obviously) pocket lining elitists. If anything Browns more genuine because he doesn't have that natural smarminess to rely on that Cameron and Blair have.
To simply get to that level you have to be corrupt and willing to sellout what's best for the masses for yours and your mates benefit, so being genuine or great doesn't enter into it. (I hate politicians incase anybody hasn't noticed :-) )

Honestly it's not about his image I just said I like him. As far as the Tories go I have read the literature on all parties and watched the documentaries and listened to the radio etc etc etc. The answer is still the same to me Tory all the way.

As Far as him being 'smarmy', that is the typical judgemental attitude of someone who remembers the 'old Tories', he expects comments like that it is the risk he takes for 'putting himself out there', yet he would be insulted even more for not doing so. He smiles when he speaks because he believes in what he says and I believe him, that is my prerogative to. Just as it is yours and anyone elses to their opinions. Yes I will be voting Tory and I hope with all my heart that they win, but everyone should read the literature listen to the debates, even e-mail the candidates questions, and make their own minds up. Good Luck to you all.

I'm voting Brown in. I mean he has a vision for the future and says he'll improve things. They just have not had enough time yet.

I agrre with most of the negative comments above and It's going to pain me terribly to vote for 'husky dave' on election day but the other option are appalling. Still having spent a fair bit of time with my fellow constituents at the Mayday hospital recently i can't see anything but a red tidalwave around here.

I saw Cameron several years before he became Tory leader and felt he had something about him that marked him out as a Tory who was different to the stereo-typical Thatcherites or Toffs of the past.

He has done a remarkable job at re-branding the Tories. My problem with them is though that take Cameron out of the equation, take away the counter-intuitive positioning that he has made of being more green, and pro NHS etc and what have you got? It seems to me that its the same old, same old.

This is "The Cameron Show", because he does believe in the re-branding but there are going to be few others put forward with him in this campaign because most of the Tory big hitters are much more "Old Tory".

Just gone and booked registry office, knew we should of got married years ago. Can't have the kids feeling they're not part of a real family. Imagine my shame, knowing how I've brought up my kids in what we thought was a loving home only to find that we're not even worth £150. She says she'll miss her job and being a productive member of society. She says she'll miss the money and the holidays we can afford on joint incomes. I told her not to worry, Dave loves us now we're going to be a proper family.

Paul Weller's response to Cameron saying that Eton Rifles was one of his favourite songs.

"Which part of it didn't he get? It wasn't intended as a ******* jolly drinking song for the cadet corps."
