Just wondering if the stadium will sell out cause I'm in London at the time so thinking of going to the game, and watching Leeds not go up.

And will I be able to buy the tickets on the gate?

and no it wont sell out, theyll be no more than 23/24k there, and thats only if we thrase both Norwich and Exeter, if we drop any points before then it will be bout 19-21k

another reason is that the club have this previous purchase history thing in place which rules out people who just fancied going along as a one off, which is a shame but they dont want leeds in home areas. Maybe for this match they could have given leeds the east and switched the east s/t holders to the south with some form of compensation. that way the club would benefit from the additional revenue and the team would benefit from not having away fans behind the goal and there would be no need for leeds fans to attempt to buy tickets in home areas.

No you won't be able to get tickets on the day. Is the only home game we're doing it for this season apart from Millwall at home.

its the jimmy seed stand choice.

And why should I leave my seat in the east to make room for leeds fans?

Why is it that when people suggest moving people or giving up stands it is never their own seats. Why not give leeds all of the north. More seats than the east so more money for the club.

id be happy to go down to the south, better perspective of the ground & better atmosphere. and thats why i said compensate you, like offer you all play off tickets at half price or something. just thinking of ways to improve the clubs finances and the atmosphere thats all

so easy when you don't have to deal with the practicalities.

You don't move you loyal customers who you.ve just asked to buy 1 or 5 year STs for fans you see once a season who will cost a fortune to police and steward cos they now have to enter from the other side of the ground.

sod that, the last thing we wanna be doing is giving them more tickets than we have to, if anything give them less....the extra revenue when taking into account the extra stewards and old bill isn't worth it.

i take your point but the club is also a business and in its current financial position i would have thought the practicalities would be taking advantage of the potential revenue. if it means an extra 2000 in the ground thats around an extra £50,000, thats serious money when your in trouble financially but i do take your point.

well if the extra revenue is gonna go down the pan in stewarding and policing then your right. be better to give them any tickets and just give us the jimmy seed anyway

I think Airman commented on another thread that the costs of policing etc almost outweighed the extra ticket revenue.

don't get me wrong, I know we need the money

fair enough, i seem to remember to being crucified for talking shite about policing for the millwall home game so i will say no more as i know nothing about a) costs of policing and b) police intel at football matches, although i did work with plumstead and bexleyheath CID video evidence gathering for 3 years on plain clothes public transport surveillance work in south london (but this doesnt count).

I am with Henry on this one, why should I give up my seat for an away fan.

There are plenty of clubs worse off than us at the mo, Pompey, Cardiff & Southend being some of them and I am not aware that they are handing over large sections of the home seats to away fans to generate more income.

There are plenty of threads on here slagging off the home support/singing etc and that is with the away fans confined to the Jimmy Seed stand, why encourage more away fans to attend and out sing the home support even more?

Norwich on Sat and the Leeds game are must wins and if the Charlton sections of the crowd can be the "12th" man lets do it, not hand over ground to the away fans to cheer their clubs on to promotion or a better place in the play offs.

    United season ticket holder mate.

Shame about not being able to go really. Might have to go to 2nd rate game like Dag and Red.

Will it still be a sell out after yesterdays result? And is there still no way I can buy it from the club, or anywhere else on the internet?

cant see there being more than 19,000 for this as people will be holding out for the play offs now. i cant see many casual fans wanting to see another away team promoted at the valley either, theres gonna be thousands of leeds fans desperate to see this match

I will get you a a ticket if you still want one. But it will require your passport and £500 deposit. Both returned after the game if no trouble is caused by yourself
