  • Think we need some clarification here Henry. The tories have a minus number but will still have more seats than Labour.
Do you mean the difference between labour and tory seats regardless of majority as your post at the bottom of page one suggests? Re-count !!
  • the sweepstake was always on tory seats and the + or - from a majority.

Will have to wait for all the seats to declare plus there is one where there has to be a by-election due to a death.
  • It is the difference between Conservatives seats and the amount need for a majority.
i.e they need 326 for majority, so if they got 300 seats the 'score' would be minus 26
  • [cite]Posted By: Henry Irving[/cite]you can go for a minus no. if you expect labour to have the most seats.

    Quel explainio?

not that it matters now but if you need 325 seats for a majority and labour had got 325 and Tories, for example 225 then the tories would have been - 100

Had to do it on one party for simplicity and it was pretty clear the tories would have the most seats anyway.
  • Looks like -21, so nobody wins. How ironic.

LOL but it means I keep all the cash!!!
  • Does that mean its a hung sweepstake?
  • depends whether you count Sinn Fein's 4(?) MPs or not, they never attend parliament so in practice they do not need to be accounted for. Thus you only need 324 not 326 for a majority and they are 19 short, so Threadkiller wins.
  • I got + 4 so i should win

  • what about my + 68 .........
    Have they fallen slightly short?
  • My +4 swing should win overall in a hung vote

    Still closer than my +75.

But wait given that we were both nowhere near winning, maybe we could join together and claim the victory.
