It wont say a time but will have the words "for specified train only" on it or something along those lines, if i get fined im just gonna argue about it

If your ticket had 'for specified train only' on it, on what grounds would you have to argue against a fine?

You'll be ok anyway, the train will be packed and it's not like they'll have a ticket inspector strolling through it at half 10 at night.

    Exactly Chris.

Can't remember ever having a ticket checked in that type of situation.

I will think of some facts to argue back with

There was a ticket inspector on the 22:02 train back from Bristol

Surely the facts are that it wont be your train, you knew it wasnt your train, and yet you boarded it?!

Not that I think you'll have a problem and I would do the same, but I wouldn't be thinking that I would have any argument if I was caught.

I sat in first class on the way back from Southampton, just couldn't be arsed to stand. Didn't get checked once.

The train is apparantly sold out, but what they really mean is they cant be arsed to reserve another seat above their reservation allocation and use the rest of the seats for people buying on the day, completely pointless

Or you just say that the police insisted you got on that train because they didnt want you hanging around Swindon.
