and are beaming the game back to thir place.

I know it's on Sky but a big screen and a few thousand at the Valley Friday night would be a good atmosphere.

It's on in the lounges on Friday night, and the beam back at the County Ground is the same as whats happening at the Valley

I thought they were having a big screen. Seems a bit pointless beaming back to the lounges when it is on Sky anyway??

Why would people pay a fiver when it's on sky?

Cos it'd be a better atmosphere in an all charlton location!

    I'd do that LB

think I'd rather sit in the pub or at home and watch it than in the open air on a (probably) crap screen

It'll probably be on but the quality of the screen in there is dreadful.

Cover the cost of a big screen and stewarding

There will probably be a few fans that travel up to Swindon and watch it in the pub there. Means they will get involved with the atmosphere in the pub before the game.

wont be long before theres a rumour going round that thousands of charlton fans are heading to swindon on friday without tickets with the intention of charging the gate

[cite]Posted By: rocking robin[/cite]3200 ? they should go pretty quickly .

You didn't even sell the lower tier for Millwall on saturday so your support isn't exactly great is it.

An average home gate of just over 8000 confirms that I think. Worse than Millwall.

i thought that about their support at Millwall and just assumed that they wernt given the tickets. if they didnt sell that out for a game of that size then why would they sell out for the 2nd leg, technically Millwall away was a bigger match with the prize at stake on the day

Doubt that but the atmosphere in the pub beforehand should be good! Shame there's not a roof on the stand though!

    He was joking.

But that sounds like a terrible idea to me and then having to watch the game in a Swindon pub?

They were given 2,200 and they sold them out. We didn't give them any more.

to be fair, it would have taken a miracle to send us up and with the expense of at least another 2 games you can understand ours holding out for the play offs wheras with a win Swindon had a very real chance of going up

You know we haven't yet ;-)

We were given 2900, about 1500-1800 gone I believe, should all be gone by tomorrow once members can get tickets.
