So who's coming up to my part of the world next weekend? Little tip if using the train.... buy a split ticket from London to Bedford will cost you £27.70 instead of £38. Pub suggestion.... Earl of Dalkeith, typical Wetherspoons about 10mins walk from the staion then about 10 mins to the ground. A Line arena away end is a strip of tarmac but right on top of the pitch, alternatively the main stand affords a good view. The Poppies have an ex Millwall for a bit of banter Moses Ashikodi... check out his details on Wikipedia for some interesting allegations for his departure.
See you there

Wiki says Ashikodi now plays for Ebbsfleet, after being released by Kettering in January.
But he certainly has a chequered history ..... one thing, he knows how to do trials!0 -
Do Kettering still have there famous "K" floodlights?0

I will be there - not too far from Norwich I think0

For those that are planning to go to the match, admission will be by ticket which can be purchased on the day. £6 for adults & OAP's with kids for a quid. Price applies to terrace & seats though I would strongly recommend the seats if you want to see what's going on.
The programme is a 44 page A5 affair that covers all Kettering's four friendlies, albeit one has now been cancelled. Three pages devoted to Charlton, pen pictures of last years squad, a reflection on the 1989 cup-tie by the programme editor & a review of last season by yours truly.
If you are going by train, turn left down the hill on leaving the station & keep going straight, the ground is about a twenty minute walk. Whisper me if you need any more info.0 -
I'm thinking about it..but even at £27 it's a bit steep,i'll check my funds.0

Red God, what's the parking like?
Will be coming off the A14.0 -
Easy enough Henry. Probably the easiest way is to exit the A14 at Junction 7, follow the signs for the hospital & town centre. You will pass the crematorium on your left hand side, go over a roundabout then go down a hill with the hospital to your right. You will see a railway bridge immediately in front of you & a roundabout beyond that. Take the first exit & the ground is about half a mile away. There is plenty of street parking around the ground or you can park at the Co-op superstore just before the ground.0
