Basey (not completely gone but I think he will go now) suffered a defeat playing for Aberdeen against Highland League side Fraserburgh...

He came on at half time when 1-0 down, went on to lose 3-1...

Randolph is enoying a good start at Motherwell, he's played in two winning friendlies against Brechin and Ayr...

He also kept a clean sheet in a 1-0 victory against Icelandic side, Breidablik, in the first qualifying round...

I posted this on Sam Sodje discussion but using Google translate from the website above, Sam Sodje has left Scoda Xanthi after only a few days. He has already agreed the mutual termination of his contract due to family reasons.

That's what impressed me last season and disappointed me about his departure. He had a much better clean sheet ratio than Our Robbie.

Yeah, 2 assists in 60 mins for Sam.
Think we will really miss him this year, despite what some people say.

Well Sam and Wagstaff is better than Wagstaff and no one. People might not like him or rate him at all, but Wagstaff needs competition for his place.

And he's played both games in Ireland on the left of midfield.

We will miss Sam's assists. Jackson can assist well but not from left back. Losing Basey, Shelvey, Burton and Sam will knock our assist level massively. Let's hope Parky can analyse you need a weight of players who can provide the assist to win matches, unlike Pardew who thought it was divine intervention or Reid.

Jackson and Basey on the left would provide solidity and the pass/assist rate.

Shelvey on bench for liverpool tonight. Lucas is captain. Would like to see Shelvey get a bit of time! Have Liverpool played any friendlies yet? Has Jonjo played?

I believe so, and more for every so many games he plays. Unsure of how much we would get, and how many games this could be based on.

Good to see Jonjo getting a chance. Can still see him rotting in the reserves a la Bostock and Delph.

First goal he's let in for them in competitive games after more than four and a half hours in goal. Clearly he's better in open play.

They played a couple of matches in Switzerland and Germany (no idea what the results were)- their pre-season training camp is always in Switzerland and they generally play one or two local sides out there.
