Mark Kleinman? Did he have a sister that used to go, or maybe still does? She stood me up at Maze Hill station once, and I was so badly injured from football earlier that day that I was literally hopping. I couldn't make it back over the bridge and had to call my Dad to come and pick me up.Covered End said:Is photo 2 Mark Kleinman, now Sky News City editor?

It subsequently took me three months with physio work at Sparrow's Lane to recover.

After being at the first VOTV meet in Bexleyheath, boycott Oxford sticker it half of North Kent, etc etc when we finally got back I had been in the clutches of Acid House for 4 years or more and in December 92 was on my 3rd trip to Goa probably at a party in the jungle jumping about to heavy trance music. In short I missed it and have always regretted that.1

I do remember her name - it took me about 3 months to pluck up the courage to ask her out!Covered End said:

Struggle to get my head around this was 33 years ago now.
when I was in the away end at Coventry and you look around and see how many there are under the age of 36/37 that will have no experience at all of this, or that no one under 40 would remember Selhurst etc…9 -

Yes and the amazing thing is that the time between 92 and now is virtually the same as between 92 and when we got relegated after 20 years at the top in 58. 1958 seemed like a different world to me in 92. Despite all the advancements in the internet and phones etc, i don't feel like much has changed since 92 in comparison.Could be the black and white pictures effect.AFKABartram said:Struggle to get my head around this was 33 years ago now.

Never really thought of it like that. Seems incredible to me and highlights the importance of the museum helping to keep our history alive.AFKABartram said:Struggle to get my head around this was 33 years ago now.

Pretty sure I’ve posted these before, the one with Roger Alwyn was taken by Jim Rosential after the game (we watched the post match interviews). We don’t look very happy but we’re both smashed by then.

I was interviewed by Rob Curling the BBC London Sports Reporter outside The Valley that day. Never saw it broadcast.0

Highly emotional day. I openly admit to shedding a few tears during the afternoon looking around at all the fans brimming over with joy at being back home.
Fry-up in a Eltham cafe with our small group of friends and onto The VALLEY for the game. Sat in the Jimmy Seed stand and soaked up the atmosphere as fans arrived to fill up the very limited seats available on the day. (Tickets were gold dust)
I Remember the parade of the old stars and the mass of ballons in the centre circle awaiting release.
Deafening noise at the appearance of the teams and high tension during a close match that ended with a 1-0 win for the Addicks.
Another precious Charlton memory by all who can say "I was there"

I was lucky enough to be selected for the 4th match official, despite being an ardent Charlton supporter! We officials were invited to the post match celebrations and we given a glass paper weight as a match souvenir. The picture is immediate post match, with me holding the spare match ball. I am sitting in my car in the Valley as I post this message
