    Dont shoot the messenger please!

he was a 2 million pound signing he has lost his way a little bit he is now back at home his family are from bromley

we are 3rd division well capable for this league

He was also playing for ipswich through a shockingly bad period for them

trust me this fella will rock the valley this season scoring a few worldies on the way

[cite]Posted By: Telnotinoz[/cite]Never heard of him, but I guess thats nothing new.......hopefully will fill the gap that Parky was talking about.....so much for no new faces before the weekend eh

tel this one is a real gem, bags of talent tricky as they come, great shot on him

i am well pleased we dont need benson now for def

I just looked at his wiki profile, not an out and out scorer, but more an attacking midfielder if its to be believed...already updated as our player though

Where's he gonna fit in? Right wing?

Explains why we did not follow up on the spanish geezer, bouazza. Also, after so many clubs, a lot on loan, he might want to make us his home with his Bromley connections. Feeling good about this season, up the addicks.

"usually referred to as a winger" - wiki

So midfield should be: Reid/ Semedo / Racon / Martin

One thing's for sure: I think (potentially) we have a very exciting squad here materialising.

3:00 tomorrow can't come quick enough, hope the players are up for it, I am fired for tomorrow.

yeah - ipswich were awful and Martin being a new £2m signing was one of the players who got the flak. personally i think Roy Keane just a crap manager.

the good thing is he's on the transfer list - so if he does well we might be able to make it permanent - if we can get the money together

Two more decent strikers and then I'll be pleased as punch!

Writing the squad out, I make it that we have a back up player for every position apart from the strikers:

    Abbott Sodje

Reid (SMART) Racon (MCCORMACK) Semedo (STAVRINOU) Martin (WAGSTAFF)

Jackson (YOUGA) Doherty (LLERA) Dailly (FRY/MAMBO) Francis (SOLLY)

    Elliot (WORNER)
  • good squad just need more fire power

Agreed. Have not a clue about the new lad, but here's hoping. You don't become a flop that quickly after being sold for £2mil a year before.

14's on us is now looking more than good value.

Waggy as the second striker maybe? With Martin on the wing?

Doherty has played the occasional game up front for Spurs and Norwich

He was very highly thought of a few years back and I thunk this could be a superb signing - provided he knuckles down.
The fact Keane has disgarded him means nothing IMO as he's just a crap manager and doesn't give people the time of day

Hopefully we've negotiated a fee if the loan is successful

You know what - at league 1 level that's a pretty bloody good squad!

    McClown?

    Varney??

How much did we pay for fleetwood?

    Jeffers?
  • find it strange he signed a 4 year deal with ipswich in july 09, did read he has had hamstring problems in the past,
but hopefully has got over them.... only time will tell, good signing none the less

    six (that's 6) goals in five(that's 5) Years.

Touch of the Lisbies about him don't you think?

This is a very interesting acquisition....

He came in for big money and then got the Keano treatment....what the lad needs is a new start near his family, and hopefully he can find the form that made him a 2 million squid player. Parky has done well getting him on loan for the whole season, too. Fingers crossed and all that.

Just need some more striking options and we are set to storm the league!

Oh, and McLeod was never a 2 million pound player, because Pardew bought him. He'd pay you a tenner for a packet of wotsits, that idiot.

I'm reliably informed that Ipswich are still paying the bulk of his wages while he's with us for a year.

Why would they? Perhaps he's a bit of a bad boy?

he is not a striker, but he can play there, more of a link up man and winger... this is not the striker we were looking to sign this is some one who can play there if needed but more thew person who along with reid can supply crosses in to the box for abbott

ticks the boxes for me this one i have watched him on man utd tv when he went there and he looked real good

I suspect Keano has seen his potential hence 2 mill for him, but he's lost his way, hoping that a season in lower division will bring him some confidence and build his record
