That could so easily have been 1-1 in the end.- and the 2 points lost that could cost us promotion next May.
    But we hung on.

So what was the Semedo sending off incident - changed the game by the sound of it?

  • Six minutes of injury time - WTF...

Never mind a win and three points. Considering all the new faces and playing a newly promoted side that's a decent start.

We would have conceded an equaliser last year. If only we can get that killer touch, then things will be looking pretty good...

    Good work lads.

We may have found that killer touch if Semedo hadnt got sent off....

great test of character and a clear sign that Parkinson has these boys motivated to the max.......

Great start and much more useful than a comfortbale three nil win...

    Great boost and lots learnt....

Bring on Orient... not fussed about Shrewsbury...
  • Well played game imo, to be honest it was clear that this team hadn't really played together properly, yet they did well, 3 players stood out for me, Solly, To be truthful i was expecting him to be absoloute crap but he completely proved me wrong, kyel reid, although he needs to be kept on a leash as he frequently appeared in the most bizarre out of position places, and finally lee martin i can see has a lot of potential and i reckon hes gonna be one of this seasons players to watch

    No praise for Akpo ?
  • absolutely not, i still think although he got the goal, which coincidentally looked pretty easy, he, throughout the game was a lumbering wreck with the reactions of a drunk and the football mind of a rugby player, crash and bash is his style and i do not think he deserves a place on the team

Easy or not he got into a good position and scored. We moan we don't have goalscorers up front but when one does score we moan about the rest of their game.

We still need one striker, could even argue two. We needed him to play today, he scored a few in pre-season, can't see why he doesn't deserve his place. Not like we have many alternatives.

commentators said Akpo looked sharper and fitter than last season, and caused trouble for Bournemouth's defence first half. One game, one goal he deserves to start on Friday at least (and on Tuesday if we play our full strength team)

We dominated play for a lot of the first half and should've scored more. We need a striker!

Having said that, a win is a win, so well done the lads!

Thought the ref was shocking, but seemed to be equally bad for both sides.

Abbott and Sodje don't really suit each other, and I thought Abbott was the better of the pair, but good goal, got himself there, and took it well.

McCormack was excellent, so that'll piss off the brothers dim, Semedo deserved the card, Solly good, and the CB were cool and calm.

Need a speedy striker, but I'll take 46 1-0 wins
